HoneyDew List (the App), developed by HoneyDew List, LLC, uses third party vendors and hosting partners to provide the necessary hardware, software, networking, storage, and related technology required to run our app. Although HoneyDew List LLC owns the code, databases, and all rights to the HoneyDew List application, you retain all rights to your data. HoneyDew List uses only your mobile number, email address (if supplied), first & last name for the purpose of signing into and creating your user account. We will never share personal data with a 3rd party.

For the security of our user's accounts, HoneyDew List requires users to authenticate their account using their mobile number. App developers are now required by law to give users the ability to OPT-IN or OPT-OUT of receiving texts. In order for HoneyDew List to send a one-time authentication text message with a verification number to authenticate your account, a user must OPT-IN by selecting the "Confirm" button during the sign-up process. Opting in also gives us permission to send you a text whenever another HoneyDew user shares a HoneyDew List with you. No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. 

HoneyDew List requires access to your contacts for the sole purpose of allowing users to easily share lists with those contacts. The app uses only the mobile number of contacts to invite users to share specified lists. We do so utilizing Twilio (https://www.twilio.com/en-us/trusted-activation/verify) to ensure the security of our users and their accounts. This is done using Twilio's two-factor authentication service. Twilio is a cloud communications platform that provides software developers with building blocks to add communications to web and mobile applications. No contact data is saved when sharing a list.

When using "Location Reminders", HoneyDew List requires access to your location in the background . These reminders notify users when they are within a specified distance from an item location. This location data is temporary, and allows users to receive push notifications without the need for the app to be open, especially while driving. Location is defaulted off when first installing the app, and permissions can be changed from device settings.

To add photos to items, HoneyDew List requires both camera and photo access. Any photo attached to an item is deleted when the corresponding item is deleted. 

Within the app, users have the ability to delete their account and all remaining personal data. Account deletion is permanent, and cannot be recovered.
