My husband and I came up with the idea of HoneyDew List due to our personal issues with completing our to-do tasks. (Mainly him 😊). Post-it's, emails, texts, didn’t work. We tried many other to-do list apps, but they were just overly complicated for our needs, and just not “functional” or relatable to everyday, non-business users like ourselves. We also wanted something that was simple enough for our children to use so that we could share lists with them.

So, being software developers ourselves, we decided to design our own app! One that was more relatable to everyday use for couples and families. One that wasn’t convoluted with complicated, useless features. So we designed HoneyDew with a much more functional design than the other apps, which included:

• Simple list sharing -> It's easy for us to share between iPhones and Android
• One-handed use -> We usually were holding a shopping basket or our children's hand, so the app allows you to manage your tasks from the bottom of your phone screen with just your thumb!
• Voice input -> For adding items when we are unable to type
• Bluetooth Reminders -> We get reminders instantly when our phones pair with our car's Bluetooth!
• Location Reminders -> So that we didn’t drive by the location of a to-do
• In-Progress Status -> So that I knew when my husband was at a store, and could just add items without me needing to text him
• Item Photos -> So that my husband bought the correct things or had my coupon
• Some fun with a "whip" notification sound
• And just overall simplicity without sacrificing functionality.

Now, with all of the amazing feedback we have been receiving  from couples and families that are using our app, we have been adding and improving the app to make it even MORE helpful to us everyday users! We are working on other exciting new additions!!
